Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site or to any CF forum, my boyfriend has CF and was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the second time. He wants to take a little getaway in between chemo and whipple surgery. I have researched to see if there were any programs that helped with those kind of expenses. We are blessed to have all his medical care covered. But dont have the means to cover a trip. So im reaching out to see if anyone knows of any such organization that might be able to help. Thank you all for any suggestions.

I’m so sorry to hear of your boyfriend’s relapse of pancreatic cancer. It sounds like a perfect idea to plan a relaxing trip for him.

Take a Breather Foundation is a wonderful organization that grants wishes to both children and adults with CF that don’t have the financial means to pay for the wish they are requesting. Someone on your CF care team must initiate request.

Here are their guidelines for consideration:

I just did a quick google search, and it looks like there are some other similar organizations for those with a cancer diagnosis. For some of them, you have to reside in the state where organization is based.

I hope this helps and I hope your boyfriend's surgery, recovery and treatments are successful and go as smoothly as possible.
