    Exhaustion

I was just wondering if anyone else is feeling this way. I don't know what's wrong with me I wake up around 8 or 9 but by 2 I am dead and usually take a nap and wake up at 5. I feel as though I am sleeping way too much and wonder why. Maybe I am waking up during the night and just don't remember. It's really starting to make me nervous that there is something wrong. I feel ok lung wise, but I am on zoloft and klonopin and I have stopped all caffeine so maybe that could be part of it. Any advise would be great!

    RE:Exhaustion

Exhausted as in tired or physically exhausted? I have had chronic fatigue for many years directly related to my CF. I don't know as there is anything to fix the problem... I just nap when possible and occasionally (about once a month, sometimes more) need to sleep it off-- and will sleep for up to 30 hours at once. Definitely nap when you get the chance. Do you know what your oxygen saturation is? I sometimes find myself more exhausted when my sats are lower.

Just as in tired. I nap during the day almost everyday but I guess to me it seems like too much. And I have an oximeter at home, my mom bought one to check my O2 all the time! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> It usually runs about 95 but when I get a little sick or have junk that needs to come up it goes down between 90 and 92. But lately it's been ok.

Did you get diagnosed as chronic fatigue related to CF. How did they narrow it down? I have major problems with fatigue and have so for most of my life. My lung function has been really good and sats as well. My CF doc wants to say it's depression, but I've been to a psychologist over and over and they have said and reassured me that I'm NOT depressed and to go back to the doc regarding chronic fatigue. Other docs I have seen will just attribue it to CF because they say to rule it chronic fatigue they have to rule all other health issues out. Since I have CF they attribute it to that. I have spoke with others who have CF and don't have the fatigue to the great extent I have. So I'm wondering if I have chronic fatigue on top of CF and how to test for chronic fatigue? What ever it is I'm open to, depression, chronic fatigue, etc, I would just like to know in case there is anything to help with the fatigue. I have tried 5 different anti-depressants since they thought it was depression, and it did not help at all.

    RE:Exhaustion

I dont know either, but it could be stress related. Usually I am never tired, I just go go go. But now that I am married, have two jobs, and going to college at the same time, I am more than unusually tired. I even over slept and was late for the first time ever (for oversleeping anyway). Is anyone more bothered by it more during this time of the year say between August and October? Its alway my worst months with CF.
