Question for anyone who has been to Las Vegas, specifically the Wynn Hotel: my husband's brother is getting married in Las Vegas next summer and we are trying to decide if it is a wise idea to travel to the wedding because of the very high chance of exposure to second hand smoke in the Vegas environment. My hubby is extremely sensitive to any cigarette/cigar smoke, even in quick, small quantities (it will cause him to have hemoptysis, possibly massive). Of course, we REALLY want to attend the wedding (it's going to be a big, fancy affair at the five star Wynn hotel, not a cheesey Elvis chapel!), but not at the risk of his health.
His brother & fiance have checked it out and have found a 'back entrance' that they say kind of bypasses the casino area off the lobby and therefore is smoke free, but I'm not sure how truly smoke-free that might be.
We definitely would not fly into the Vegas airport because we experienced that about 4 years ago and they were allowed to smoke all over the place (inside little plastic cubicles with slot machines throughout the terminal that didn't even have full walls built around them).
So, bottom line: has anyone (who is also senstive to smoke) been to Vegas, the Wynn Hotel, or any other hotel that they would consider truly smoke-free?? (obviously we won't be able to go out gambling because of the smoking inside the casinos, but we would at least just like to get to the wedding).
Thanks for any help!
