When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the drivers side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the d oor handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "its open!" His reply, " I know. I already got that side."

This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, Mississippi

Actually, no! Ford Motor has a specified procedure that was written in the manual on when keys get locked in the car...also, anything beyond the alloted time it takes to open one door to get the keys adds on to the labor time. When all the doors are opened from the mechanic, then he is to log in his book how many hours and in what means he used to open the doors. This is all very important because they have used this method to exchange information among all the other mechanics, especially in the Southern parts of the United States and California.
And, if you believe all that, I have some land for sale in Florida!!

I was reading very intently. Absorbing it all, cursing at Ford the whole time & then get to your last line. Kiss my back fender on my DODGE, Fred
