Aspergillus post TX

Hi Liza!
I got Aspergillus last December (1yr post tx) and the docs put me on Abelcet (Amphoteracin B). When they told me, they also didn't seem that concerned and said that Abelcet is pretty reliable in killing the fungus. My schedule for it was: 2x day for one week. Once per day for one week and then once per week for 4 weeks. My tx coordinator said the weather sometimes causes it. I got it when it started to get cool down here (Florida). Maybe the humidity? Dunno.

Hope Anna kicks fungus butt! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thanks you guys! Just hearing what others have done helps put things in perspective. That it's not a hopeless cause. Which I didn't think it was but still you worry when it seems so out of the blue.

Fr3ak, Mushrooms!? What do you do when you are allergic to the medicine that's supposed to get rid of it? I surely hope that you will have a quick response and don't have to put up with the allergic reaction for long.
