Attaching a picture file to your message

We've enabled a feature in the forums that will allow you to attach a picture file to your message. Here's how you do it:

<b>Step 1:</b>
When posting a new thread or replying to a message you'll notice the following below the "post message", "preview" & "cancel" buttons.

Click on the "Attach File(s)" button to attach one or multiple images.

<b>Step 2:</b>
After clicking on the "Attach Files(s)" button you'll notice the following popup box

Click on the "Browse" button to select the image you wish to upload (* please note you may only upload the following file types - .GIF, .JPG & .PNG, the file size cannot be larger than 75KB).

<b>Step 3:</b>
After clicking on the "Browse" button you'll see the following popup box (* please note this will depend on your operating system). Browse to where your image file is located and select it. Click on the button that says "Open".

<b>Step 4:</b>
After you have selected the image you wish to upload you will see the following screen:

Click on the upload file link which is on the top right corner.

<b>Step 5:</b>
Once you've uploaded the file, you'll see the following screen (* please not the image name will differ)

Click on the image name to select it.

<b>Step 6:</b>
With the image name selected (as seen above) click on the "Attach File" link.

That's all there is to it! Now just submit your message and the file will be attached to it for everyone to view/download.

The system does allow you to attach multiple files at one time, if you wish to attach multiple fies, just repeat steps 2 through 5 before completing step 6.

I just tried it with two photos and it says the graphic couldn't exceed 100KB. I don't know exactly what this means, other than it didn't work for me.

It means the picture's storage size is too big. If you have a photo editor, you can crop the photo, or resize it, or change the file format so it's not so big. =-)

Yes the photo size cannot exceed 75KB. As Mocking bird said if you have a photo editor you can either crop or resize your image to reduce the file size.
