Christian-everything I know/have been told says breastmilk has all water that they need. I did start a water sippie at 6 months when I fed solids though and my dd loves water now so its not really too early to try if you want.

keep us updated

oh and PS my sisters son has obvious allergies and she was told they have to be at least 18mo but 2 years is best though I would still at least get a consult of course just letting you know what they do around here--apparently

The only thing I can suggest that I don't see already is that if you have carpeting or large area rugs, get them all steam cleaned regularly. It might help to have her tested for a dust mite allergy.

thanks to everyone. LO is much better today, thank goodness. this is surely a virus. its progressing exactly as the doc said it would.

i did the steamy bathroom with her 3 x yesterday and saline/suction 4-5 x. i upped my vit c intake hoping she'll get some extra through my milk. shes much much better today. night and day difference.

when i am off ivs and she's 100% i'm going to pursue allergy testing for us both. its something i've always wanted to do bc i have awful seasonal allergies but have never been formally tested. my asthmatic component has worsened over the past few years and anything i can eliminate i will-if allergies to something are worsening this, then id like to adress it.

thanks to sakasuka's blog on allergies i am more aware of how they can worsen our cf. i really believe that everyone should address them if possible.
