So about two hours ago I ate a package of ramen noodles..i been drinking a dr pepper in between ..i go out to check the mail and then all of a sudden i start feeling real weak in my muscles and shaking and actualy sick feeling..i imediately check my sugars and its 50..lowest ive ever seen..now since ive been home from hospital wich is two weeks ive had 4 episodes of low blood sugar atacks..ive been told im not diabetic as my glucose test is normal but however these numbers are making me wander..
Now with that being said my fev% had droped to 29% i was 37% when i left hospital..so now ive had to stay on iv's but lung wise im actualy not coughing up anything and no fevers..im on same meds as i was in hospital..dont know why my fev dropped?..i know i been trying to get portable oxygen aproved by my insurance but kind of hard when medicare has a stupid a** guideline of needn to be below 88 for them to cover..but i just did the test where somone comes out to your house and does all kinds of breathing tests and a walk test and i always usualy get dizzy and tight chested walking around to places and the guy said my heart rate was in the 140's oxygen was 92-91..now as soon as we did the test with oxygen on my heart rate went to normal and i felt awesome!i didnt feel tight chested nor dizzy..
So im hoping were somehow able to get me portable oxygen as it makes a world of difference and i do wear 02 at night 2litres..but im hopin someone out there can relate on this and my blood sugars are bothering me..i also requested from my doc wich they never called me back but i asked them if my home nurse could do some blood work to check out my thyroid as i would feel better if i got that checked..as i am tired alot but i know it could be other stuff to..so anyway hoepfuly i get some feedback about the several things i mentiond and discussed thanks!

I did this when I was on Voriconozole (without prednisone. Now on prednosone the problem is opposite) and I'd just drop to 50 like *that*. Are you on any medications now that you weren't before? Is there a connection between the amount of time after you take your meds this happens? I only ask cause you were in the hospital and I know some docs like to put people on some medication after a round of IV abx.

After you eat, check your blood sugar 30 minutes after you start to eat and 1 hour afterwards and then 2 hours afterwards. If your bloodsugar is high (especially 200+) at those times, you could be doing the spike and drop thing with your blood sugar, which may also make your A1C come out relatively normal (averaging the highs and lows out- kinda like the statistics joke that if your feet are frozen and your hair is on fire, your average temperature is just perfect- lol). In that case, write down what you ate, what time and the times and readings you got on your meter for your doctor, you will probably need another glucose tolerance test . Lows are scary.

If that's not it, I'm sorry, but I don't have a clue...
