i just want to let you know that you aren't the only one with a baby that has reflux. aj's is so bad he's on two medicine's for it and the most expensive formula...he wants to compete with me i'm convinced. aj is almost three months and i've been lucky so far as to not get sick. the only think i can offer is accept whatever help you can. see if maybe you can work your infusion times to when there will definetly be people around. do you know your neighbors? maybe one of them can help? i'm dreading next month...austin will be gone for 12 days straight and i don't live around family. so i will have straight baby duty and i'm wondering how to take care of me too. good luck! and i hope you start feeling better!

I know what you mean with the reflux - Brianna has been on Axid and is now on Zantac.. i feel like i'm always giving her something (Mylicon, Maalox, Gripe Water).. and then her reflux med. My parents are very close so I know they will help, but they both work full time jobs also so I know for most of the day its just going to me Brianna & me. My 2 neighbors are both stay at home moms, one has 5 kids and the other has a 11 month old and theyre never really home (they have a house in the Hamptons).. and my friends work. I know i'll be able to do it, I have no choice.... but I am REALLY dreading it.. especially with how sore my arm is for the first 2 days after getting the PICC, then the meds ALWAYS give me diarrhea and it's just going to be really hard <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I feel so stressed with motherhood, not feeling well, and I just feel overwhelmed at times - I am so exhausted when night time rolls around yet I can't fall asleep because I am so worried & stressed about things so my doctor just prescribed Xanax for me to try and ease my mind I suppose, and it is helping me sleep better.

Brianna is crying bloody murder right now, I just fed her but I need to do my inhalations and I had to put her in her swing instead of holding her (she looooooooves being attached to me). I just cant wait to feel better, motherhood itself is hard and being a new mom and feeling like POOP is even harder!!! It feels good to vent though and have support from you ladies.... thank you SO SO much, from the bottom of my heart.

Candice, what formula is A.J. on? Brianna is on Similac Alimentum and it is sooooooooo expensive so the pediatrician got my husbands insurance to pay for it - we get it delivered to the house every month, HUGE cases of it and we haven't had to pay a dime!!!!! Ask your pediatrician if it can go through insurance because they consider the reflux a medical condition!

aj is on nutraigem (i can not spell it for the life of me!) lipil it's by emfil. for a 16oz can it is 25 bucks! we are on wic, thank god! we wouldn't be able to afford it any other way! he's also on zantac and reglan to help with his reflux. oh and he gots rice mixed in with his formula! he's had rice mixed in since he was a week old. it was 5tsp with 5oz of water and 3 scoops of formula, but he was having problems pooping so i knew it was the rice so i took a gamble and too away a scoop of rice and it has helped him a bunch and he still keeps his food down! he's done so much better and they consider him a preemie so when i try to look at the precentile charts i can't really figure out how to do it. so frustrating. i hope everything gets settled with iv's and i know how sore your arm can be. mine is always sore too for the first few days and the first dressing change 24 hours afterwards doesn't help at all! see if you can maybe get it set up for a weekend start. if you can do the picc as an outpaitent procedure see if you can do it later in the day on a friday that way you have the help during the weekend while your arm is still sore. if you can do it that way that is.
