Emily has stopped eating/ Miralax questions

I wonder about the slime being mucus, too, since it just didn't look like her typical greasy stool.

Emily would be mortified to see a crowd of doctors all examining her poop... it's hard enough for her to handle ME looking at it and the nurse & dr just talking to her about it!

She's eaten a little more today but the tummyaches continue.

Hopefully she gets cleaned out and is once again more comfortable. When ds was a bab and gave him milk of mag, it was interesting what ended up coming out. A few times because of the mucus it had the appearance of having a sausage casing.

One of the local moms had issues with their child never ever having solid stools despite increases in enzymes until he was put on oral mucomyst. Apparently he had more severe issues with mucus bogging down the system.

There are a number of things which can be done to determine the cause of her issues, but if she's 'bashful' she's NOT going to like dealing with contrast. DS had a couple gastrograph (sp) scans in which they put constrast into his rear. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> I do hope things clear up soon. Some of DS' earlier issues were caused by his association with stooling/eating... causing discomfort. So he would hold in his stools, decrease eating -- was a viscious cycle.

We have poop... lots and LOTS of poop today! She hardly touched her breakfast this morning and had an enormous belly so I kept her home- I wanted to see the results whenever she did make it to the bathroom and then give the chance to EAT if she finally got relief without having to go by the school's timetable for snack/lunch. She finally went and has been in there 3x so far today. She has eaten a little more; not a great deal but more than in previous days- a WHOLE sandwich for lunch, for example and most of a cup of water with it. I am so relieved (and no doubt so is SHE.)

Thank you for all of your helpful advice and support. Where else could I possibly go and share all of this concern and get back so much understanding about poop, of all things?! 'Just feed her more veggies' would be the extent of it with the moms I know irl... little do they know, eh?
