I have always tended to get my feelings hurt by my immediate family. They have never been big supporters of the CFF.....never contribute to the walk.....very little support when these events come around. I am sure there are others on this site who have had the same experience. They live far away from me; but, we are all very close. They just have no idea how much it means to me to support this research.
So we live in a relatively new community for us....no lifelong friends......no family....just new friends we have met in the short time that we have been here. We put a very small team together with little effort and I just looked on our website and we have over 1,000 dollars. I am so touched by this. What an awesome community to take us in and care about us like that. The kindness of strangers and new friends.....how amazing people can be some times.
