Did the great strides walk today, only I ran the whole darn thing. A lot of it is steep uphill and then steep downhill, which was challenging, but I made it and was the first person back (and yes, other people were running it too). Not so much that I won, but the CF clearly LOST..........and thats cool.
My hubby says that next year I should hike it carrying our 6 year old (now 50 lbs plus) since I practice trotting up and down stairs carrying our 10 year old (70 lbs). I just might do it.......... : )

I dont always enjoy working out, but lordy it makes a difference!

That's awesome well done!!! I hope I'm still running when I'm 40...actually I will still be running when I'm 40
I know training ain't much fun but crossing a finish line makes it soooo worth it

nocode, two years ago it dropped pretty low (40's) and I was getting winded going up a single flight of stairs. So I started RABIDLY working on fitness.....so far I've raised my FEV to a high of 65%. Right now I would guess its at about 60%. I've had some knee, shin splint, gout, and other issues, but I still try and workout every single day and do at least something aerobic. For a while I was running, biking, and swimming almost every day (then my knees started acting up). Its paid off. My quality of life has gone up drastically. Now if I can only stop eating so darn much! (I have trouble keeping weight OFF)
