Josh got out of the hospital today, day seven. His lung functions are up from 61 to 63. The doctors thought that was improvement. He had a PICC put in on Thursday and will be taking Cefepine (tid) and Tobi (qd) at home. Home healthcare was here earlier. We are both kind of tired as it was a long ordeal. He will be checked in the clinic next wednesday. Oh and lots of airway clearance techniques. The other new med added in was hypertonic saline once a day, the hospital did it twice a day.

They were going to do a bronc but the surgery schedule was to full on Friday. By yesterday he had already been on antibiotics for 6 days and they thought a culture would be false negative. If his lung functions had not come up any they would have done a bronc yesterday.

We are lucky as this was his first hospitalization in 15 years. He was in twice by age 2. We are at one day at a time.
