Hey guys-

A dear friend of mine just donated $500 to the CF Foundation. He is an incredible guy, very generous, and I want him to know what an impact his donation will have on the CF community.

Here's where I am hoping you can help -

I'm hoping each of you could post here (or PM me if you feel more comfortable) and speak about what it means to you when people donate to the CFF.

You can speak about hope. Or about watching drugs like denufosol or PCT124 move through the pipeline. Or less hospitalizations that will result from aztreonam or more time you'll have in your day to be normal from TIP, etc.

I think he will really be moved and happy that he chose the CFF if he can hear from other people than myself speaking about what a true difference donations like his make.

I'll go ahead and compile the stories and send them off to him.

Thank you all in advance. I appreciate your time <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Oh his name is Adam BTW.....

I think the donation is awesome. I wish we had more donors like Adam. I like many other cf patients eagerly await each drug that moves through the research pipeline. This donation, makes us that much closer.

What a generous donation! Our family truly is so grateful for the research that CFF has done. Personally, the huge strides ahead in research has had a direct impact on the health and outcome for our daughter. From the prenatal diagnosis(this would not have been heard of prior to the CF gene identification)to the usage of Hypertonic saline which has kept my daughter off the big gun antibiotics for a year and 3 months(knock wood). Maggie does have one gene mutation which should respond to PTC124; should this drug come to the market. The quality(not just quantity) of Maggie's life is enriched by breathing easier with treatments funded by CFF. Thanks Adam!!
