Hello every one! Hope your all well?<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Not been on the transplant forum for a while, but some of you will remember me writing about a year ago on how i was considering going on the lung transplant list. My lung function is around 30% and my quality of life has declined in the last couple of years. Iv antibiotics dont work as well for me any more and i now rely on oxygen most days! Anyway, cutting a long story short, after 12months i am now LISTED!!
You who no me will no what a big decision this was for me,as i had alot of fears and questions. Of course, im still scared, but since saying yes to being listed it feels like a whole weight has been lifted from my shoulders! The decision has finally been made, and i can relax abit now! I no i will still totally freak when my pager goes off though!! I feel in no rush to get my lungs in the next few months because the doctor said im not desperate for them, but i no how fast my health can change, especially in winter.
Anyway i was just wondering if any one had any advice for me now that im on the list? How did you cope while listed? What can i do now to help me have the best chance of a good out come after the transplant? Also am i best staying away from any alcohol now,in case i get called?
