In with pneumonia

Came in on the 4th of July just like I ended up doing last year! SUCKS! They put me on 4 antibiotics b/c I'm showing resistance to everything but one. I know I'm on Meripenum, Tigecycle, Tobramycin, and Chloremphenicole. I sure hope this combo does the job. I'm so worried that a set of lungs will become available and I won't be able to get them b/c of the pneumonia. Arghhhhh! I'll be talking more with my other doctor hopefully soon so I'll see what he has to say about all this. Time to pee again, hahahaha!

Ohhh, man, I am feeling so hopeless right now. So the doctor thinks my pneumonia was caused by me refluxing (aspirating) into my lungs b/c the culture showed low growth of psuedomonas and lots of oral flora. I have to sleep in reverse trendelemburg. I need the Nissen surgery but I am too sick for it. I need new lungs before I can get the Nissen done. My breathing seems better but I had an x-ray taken today and when I glimpsed over it looked like there was still a lot of crap showing up on the right side. Guess I'll have to see what the doctor says about it. Even if I get better after all these IV's, when I go home we have to get a wedge or put the head of our bed up on cinder blocks to try to cut back on the refluxing going into my lungs. Seems like it's gonna be hard to get and stay well enough until I get my new lungs. They had to put me on inactive b/c of my health now. I'm so worried I won't get my new lungs in time b/c of this and b/c my height and blood type are rarer. All these antibiotics are making me naesous and now I have the diarhea. I'm so tired of all these treatments and fighting and feeling like nothings gonna work. Plus my psuedomonas is resistant to almost all antibiotics. Why can't I get a break! I've been so strong for so long but I'm just getting to the point where I am losing all my hope. I jjust don't know what to do.
