Kayla had been on two weeks of Cipro and Bactrim and within a few days of stopping the antibiotics she was feeling bad. Last week she had to stop running during PE because she couldn't breath, she ran some low grade fevers, and would cough throughout the night.

Friday night she had what I would assume is an asthma attack, although she has never had one before. She couldn't breath and was scared to death. She kept saying that she didn't want to die. I gave her some albuterol and it helped ease her down.

So, she didn't do PFTs, only x-rays. They are also testing her for a few things.

Keep her in your prayers please

updated: her Ige level is 1034 and her Aspergillus specific level is also high. We may be looking at ABPA. I hope to know more tomorrow when drs. make their rounds.
Thanks for the well wishes and prayers

Updated 3-11: Still waiting on the ABPA-two out of three test are positive. They are still waiting for the results of the third. One disappointing thing that happened today was that she did PFT's and they have dropped from 105% almost exactly one month ago, to 80% today. I don't know why I was so shocked, but I was. So, still not sure what the game plan is. Thanks for the prayers everyone! You guys are so special to me<img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

Sending prayers to Kayla and your family. I hope she starts feeling better soon. How scary for her to go through something like that
