Once upon a time, twin boys were conceived in the same womb. Weeks passed, and the twins developed. As their awareness grew, they laughed for joy: "Isn't it great that we were conceived? Isn't it great to be alive?"

Together the twins explored their world. When they found their mother's cord that gave them life, they sang for joy: "How great is our mother's love that she shares her own life with us!"

As weeks stretched into months, the twins noticed how much each was changing. I don't want to go from here," said the one. "I want to stay here always."

"We have no choice," said the other. "Maybe there is life after birth!"

"But how can there be?" responded the one. "We will shed our life cord, and how is life possible without it? Besides, we have seen evidence that others were here before us, and none of them have returned to tell us that there is life after birth. No, this is the end."

And so the one fell into deep despair, saying: "If conception ends in birth, what is the purpose of life in the womb? It's meaningless! Maybe there is no mother after all."

"But there has to be", protested the other. "How else did we get here? How do we remain alive?"

"Have you ever seen our mother?" said the one. "Maybe she lives only in our minds. Maybe we made her up because the idea made us feel good."

And so the last days in the womb were filled with deep questioning and fear. Finally, the moment of birth arrived.

When the twins had passed from their world, they opened their eyes and they cried. For what they saw exceeded their fondest dreams.

"Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it so much as dawned on mankind, what God has prepared for those who love Him" 1Cor.2:9.

how wonderful mockingbird, i wonder what the creator has in store
for me when i die?? if this creation i can see with my own two eyes
is anything to go by, i dont think i need fear or worry!, just
trust, for as your scripture verse stated, no eye has seen , nor
ear heard, what god has prepared for those who love him. do you
believe you know what happens after death? BC

BC here's what The Creator has in store for you...
"
It's A Big, Big House" by Audio Adrenaline

Come and go with me
to my Fathers house
Come and go with me
to my Fathers house
[CHORUS]
It's a big big house
with lots and lots a room
A big big table
with lots and lots of food
A big big yard
where we can play football
A big big house
Its my Fathers house

"I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy ME

I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine

(Chorus next)
Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus?
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence?
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

I can only imagine when that day comes
And I find myself standing in the Son
I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

as Spur says in that great and famous Australian classic movie "A man from snowy river", quote "belief in heaven is a comfort for widows and fools"
i agree with this in the main, i still maintain though--- nobody, absolutely nobody knows what happens after we die. many many people have speculated and put forth their own "divinely" revealed notions, however the absolute truth remains a mystery. i guess thats why beliefs on how we came into existance and what happens when we die are called faiths, maybe "hopes" would be a more precise term!! bzzt everyone

p.s. God came to Adam one day shortly after creation and saw that he was lonely. "Adam, said God, i see you need a mate, someone to cook for you, to wash your clothes, clean the house for you, someone who will allow you to have sex with when you feel the need, someone to collect your food and sew your clothes, someone to talk to when you are lonely and bring you a cold drink when you are thirsty, and she shall be called a woman". Adam was very pleased with all this, "what shall this woman cost God?" God replied "just one of your arms and one of your legs" to which Adam said "*****, thats a bit rich, what do i get for a rib??"

according to old spur you must be a fool!!, i love your passion for what you believe in mockingbird, i really do, however you come across as a bigot to me with your intolerant views! it must be difficult to remain open minded when you believe you know the truth. just remember many people all over the world believe they know the "true" truth, and every one of them differ!! hey mockingbird you never answered my question on whether you have cf? anyway, your input on here is always to be relied upon and thats just great!! i have been researching heavily the origins of the bible too mockingbird and i have discovered what a man made book it truly is!! Constantine seems to be the man behind most of itand he killed both his wife and son for no good reason!! he sounds a little nutty actually, still he funded the council of nicea meeting and got the canon he wanted so he must be no mug eh?! another thing to be thrown up tp further discredit your bible is why Thomas the disciples writtings were not counted as credible, a man chosen by Jesus supposedly and yet he his words were omitted by this group of men hundreds of years after Jesus walked the earth. Paul is responsible for about half the new testament and he never knew Jesus!! this is absurd if you can look at it sensibly. and i think most people if they were given the same chance as Thomas to walk with Jesus, see his miracles, hear his teachings, see his crucifixion, and them still need proof beyond seeing- he needed to touch, before he would believe Jesus conquered death, i feel most people then would accept Jesus as immortal and beliieve in his divinity. bzztt

b.c.--You are so interesting! Wrong, but interesting-- Where are you getting this information? I'd like to read it. I believe that God gives us "free choice", so we are free to read whatever information there is, and make our own choice. What you choose to believe is no different than what I choose to believe--in terms of information that is "man-made." The difference is that I believe the "man-made" bible was "God-inspired". I believe that God "spoke" to these men, and possibly some women, just as He "spoke" us into being. I think it's the interpretation of the bible that has caused most of the problems in the world's religion today. As for the stuff about Thomas, I don't know why he's not included--there will always be religious leaders who think only in terms of their own "right stuff". As to Thomas's doubting Jesus and only believing by "touching" Him--what more could God do to prove His love for us? If, after walking and talking with Jesus, seeing the miracles, seeing Lazarus rise from his grave--a prelude to the crucifiction--Thomas still needed to touch Jesus, then he truly did not believe. It's like saying to your lover that you won't believe they love you just by "saying" it, that they have to "show" you, have to buy you "gifts" that you can "see and touch", have to "sacrifice " for your own greater good . . . wait a minute--isn't that what Jesus did? Faith is believing in something we can't see. Just because I didn't "physically" walk with Jesus then, it doesn't mean that I can't spiritually walk with Him now. How hard would it be to believe if you could literally "put your hands on God ?" "OH YEAH, NOW THAT I CAN TOUCH YOU, I BELIEVE NOW GOD--I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST A BIG LIAR, A PHONEY, BUT GEE, NOW I BELIEVE, GOD! WHY, IF I CAN SEE YOU, THAN ALL THOSE MIRACLES I READ ABOUT MUST BE TRUE! DOES THIS MEAN THAT JESUS IS REALLY YOUR SON, AND I ONLY HAVE TO BELIEVE IN HIM TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE? OH I BELIEVE IN HIM NOW GOD--GIVE ME THAT ETERNAL LIFE TICKET! NOW THAT IT'S "EASY" FOR ME TO BELIEVE, I WILL." About Paul--as you know he was the meanest, baddest hater of "Jesus freaks" there was. Then God "spoke" to him--opened his eyes, so to speak, and Paul went on to spread the Word. And to think, he never "knew" Jesus--he just believed the He was the Son of God because God said so. Of course, a few of the disciples were still around to help confirm a few facts about Jesus, but what sensible person would believe their word? After all, what proof did they have but word of mouth, and a pocketfull of miracles? Anyway, thoughtful discourse is always interesting, and thought-provoking--as long as it doesn't degenerate into name-calling. I am not a fool, (though I am a widow.) I believe in the intangible--like love. and God. I am not a bigot because I believe that my God is the only true God, and I don't think Mockingbird is either. It's fun tangling with you b.c.--I hope you think so too--though I think you are far to knowledgeable for me. I will keep trying to fence with you though. . .

I love you kaylees grandma, and i love mockingbird too!, there are soo many different types of love eh!! what i mean when i say i love you is i feel a bond with you guys even though we feel differently on faith. it doesnt matter to me that you think i am deceived--- maybe i am, maybe you are, what matters is the inate "thing" that connects us.whether that be cf or religious differences doesnt matter!! i believe i am on a journey toward true peace and even understanding of what existance is all about. i want to know why i should accept the bible , the koran , bhuddas teachings or the talmud as being truth. i can only see the wonderful fruit that love brings with being tolerant as being the way for me. what is love you may ask?, love IS patient Love is kind, Love does not boast, Love does not envy etc as your bible says!!, however because i believe some truth is exhibited in the bible does not mean that i believe it is ENTIRELY true. just as some truth i believe is exhibited in the koran. i want to think for myself and not be taught someone elses belief system. do you really believe that anyone who does not accept Christ as their saviour before they die is sentenced to ETERNAL suffering? do you not think that someone suffering from CF and feeling cheated by God is sent to eternal damnation because they reject him through hurt and anger?, or do you think God will understand their own personal torment and wrap his loving eternal arms around them as a parent would a grieving child and comfort, reassure and forgive them?.honestly i cant see a loving God then sending that emmotionally hurting individual to an eternal punishment, however your bible does teach that!!!!! absurd i say. lets still joust anyway, i feel it is keeping me on a learning path. bzzt Blacky
