Life with CF in it

Today is my 5th Wedding Anniversary.
This is our first anniversary since having Emma.

My husband is working. Emma is taking a nap.

I am sitting here reflecting on life before Emma. Trying to remember what we did for our anniversary last year.

This year we cannot afford to do anything special. CF is taking a bite out of our pocketbook. Doctors bills, prescriptions, etc. It all adds up. Plus my hubby is now a stay-at-home dad. He is home with her and works just a couple nights a week and on the weekend to help us pay the bills.

Our life has changed since having a baby. There have been ups and downs. Our life has changed since finding out our precious girls has CF.

But you know what...
I would rather be sitting home tonight doing nebs and CPT with Emma than be anywhere else.

CF sucks. But life without CF would mean life without Emma. To me... that would be no life at all. Emma has brought meaning to my life and joy to my heart. She has taught me what true unconditional love is.

I hear her waking up from her nap... time for a feeding (enzymes, salt, liquid vitamin, antibiotic).

Have a great night. Hug your babies.

awww, how sweet!

I feel the exact same way, even after having my car repo'd and my cell phone disconnected for being past due! (the only reason I still have cable/internet is because my sons father works for the cable company and its virtually FREE to have!)

Happy Anniversary! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

One of my favorite songs is <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mHaFMqde6A">Live Like You Were Dying</a>. Since my oldest son and I were diagnosed, I live every day like I am dying. And my life is so much richer because of it.

Peace.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by dining in the hospital cafeteria when one of our boys was in. We could have been off on some fabulous vacation, if we didn't have the boys. But we wouldn't have changed that for anything in the world.

Its all worth the sacrifice.
