I hope everybody is well & enjoying life to the fullest.
I spoke with my transplant coordinator yesterday. I had blood work done so she called me to let me know about my Gengraf levels. All is well. I asked her about my liver numbers, she said they're OK.
My problem is this: she also told me that I'm 8 years out of my transplant; she said that the meds that keep me alive are causing my liver to degenerate.
In other words, eventually I'm looking at a liver transplant.
Has anybody had to have a liver trans after having a double lung trans?
I'm more than a little concerned as to what the future may hold for Becky & me. I'm not sure we could endure another transplant.
Thank you for reading this little rant,
'Pat'.
