I am at home long enough to pack up some things and get back to the hospital.
Makailyn woke up Xmas am with non stop vomiting, literally non stop , with maybe a 5 to min break in between. She has been admitted with Pancreatitis, but they can't find a reason for it being so bad. There are no gallstones, sludge, glucose is normal. Her pain is really bad. Liver, amylase,lipase are off the charts, and WBC. Sonagram confirms bad inlarged infected pancreas.
They have been giving her Morphine around the clock which scare's me. She's on IV's , and some kind of IV antibiotic that starts with an M, think merinea or something. She's been running a temp. very lethargic, crying alot.
It seems the GI docs and the CF docs don't really know what to do. Today they said they are probly going to do something called a ERCP, but she is not stable enough. The doctors keep telling us it is uncommon for her to have such bad Pancreatitis at this age . I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has had this without it being associated with Dibetes, and being so young?
It has been very hard watching her being so sick and not knowing when she is going to get better. What a way to start your Christmas off with. She hasn't even cared what she has still under the Tree, she's been to sick to care. I wish I had some way of making her feel better.
