There was a topic in adults a while ago.
I have one. I got one because i was afraid of getting hit by a car while walking alone, and then no one knowing that i had cf. It's silly, but it makes me feel better.
I got one from medicalert, because the company gives you a number and the hospital can call and find out your meds and stuff that you didn't put on the bracelet. I drilled holes in mine and make my own bracelets, but lauren's hope has some nice ones, and a CF awareness one.
I've also got a kids "sport" one(basically a velcro band with a slot for information) for horseback riding.
Mine says:
Medicalert #
Anna H----
Cystic Fibrosis, hematosis, pancreatic insuffincient
Home phone
Meds and doctors and surgerys and such are on my medicalert profile.
Mine makes me feel more comfortable, and that's why i have one. I don't think you *need* one, but it can't hurt.
You should also talk to the kid wearing it. I refused to wear one until i was 12. I'd have it in my pocket and wear it around my parents. I was vain<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
