Here's a start, found by google searching "mold and cystic fibrosis" (ps: it asked me whether I meant "mild cystic fibrosis" lol).

Not an expert on mold or anything, but I did notice at the store the other day that Tilex now has a product that claims to kill the root of mold. I have used Tilex Mold and Mildew, but yes, the root does stay and eventually the mold comes back. I think this new version is called Tylex Mold and Root.
I would recommend that you have someone else clean it for you though, as Tilex is some really potent smelling stuff. I don't use it unless Reagan is going to be out of the house for a while.

Caitlin, a small amount of mold shouldn't be hard to get rid of, just use a little bleach on a rag. The bleach kills the mold. Like Graves said- wear a mask while you are wiping the area.

The problem is why the mold keeps growing. In our case (we have to stay on top of it) its because our bathroom fan is not very effective so the room stays moist too long.

The scary thing is if it is growing in the wall. That happens when you have a leak behind the wall. You can have it inspected if it makes you feel better, but my guess is- its just from shower steam.
