I'll admit - I'm not as proactive in this area as I should be or as I would like to be.

It breaks my heart that so many CFers (and other people for that matter) have to wait so long for organ doation.

So, <b>Here's my challenge to everyone on this boad</b> - by next Sunday, July 15 , get 10 new people as organ donors.

There are currently 634 people signed on this board. I'm going to low ball this and guess maybe I'll get 100 people to read this thread. That wil be 1000 more people that will be organ donors.

I know we can do it.



It's as simple as going to this website

Its National Organ donation week in the UK this week, is it the same elsewhere?
So there is lots of programmes, esp the breakfast shows focusing on the lack of donors in the UK, and I guess the world also.
Amy when I get back to work, i will get as many as I can to sign up.

It's not in the US that I know of.....

but I was just talking to one of our Tx patients on this site waiting for a donor and I thought, man, there is something I should be able to do to help this situation.

Good idea, Amy. I signed the back of my driver's license and registered as a donor after reading about all of Mike and Katy's false alarms. I've been telling people ever since that it's something they can do to help, too. I'll do my best this week to get the word out. I just handed my husband his license and a pen and said, "sign it." So, I'm one down, nine to go.
