Oscars...

Does anyone else not like the oscars? I feel like they are soo boring lol. They give awards to people that no one knows, and then they have random musical acts. Everything is so serious, except Chris Rock. Now, I'm not all up to par on who's who in the world of fame...but I could swear that I am seeing Antonio Banderas singing?!? What the heck is that?

Brings me to another point...all these singers-gone-actors, actors-gone-singers,....I hate it lol. They can't make enough billions of dollars doing one job, that they have to try everything there is to be able to actually swim in their money. Ridiculous I tell you....ridiculous.

Oh how I love to vent about the fabulous world of celebrities. Don't get me wrong though, Jessica Simpson is my idol.....even though it annoyed me to find out that she did a movie....but w/e. lol.

I have to agree, I think the oscars are boring too...its especially boring when awards are given to the same movie, or person over and over again. But one thng neat, is my aunts friend is sitting in the fourth row, in front of Oprah! Anyways thought i would share!

I like the Oscars, but I hate when one movie dominates. I have my own list of MY best picture nominees, and very few of them are on the actual nominee list.

On another note, I'm very annoyed/mad tonight because, for whatever reason, ABC is coming in en espanol on my TV. It's the ONLY channel doing so... grrr. The cable company claims they can do nothing about it... but its not like my TV is magically making Spanish. GRR...

I don't like this kind of events at all. Everybody congratulating the others...
Over here, the movie by Clint Eastwood is not yet known, and our movie "The Chorist" was expected to get lots and lots of rewards, presented as the best ever, blabla etc etc.... And the result is : "nothing at all" lol.
We have the same kind of ceremony here, called the "Cesars".... Maybe more boring. Yes, it's possible lol.

I like the edited version, without all the boring speeches. I could never sit and watch the entire thing through. The annoying things are the lifetime achievement awards in any ceromony. Different people stand and say boring things trying to be funny and it just sends me to sleep!!

My aunts friend was there cause she knew the person that was in-charge of the seating arrangment. ha wasnt she lucky.

I personally can't think it's too boring. Mike is a film geek student. So he sits watching the Oscars like it's the most important and interesting thing on the planet. Therefore, if for no other reason than his attitude, I find them at least slightly entertaining. Though, like I suggested, it's probably just because of how excited he gets. Haha.

Haha, I'm sure that if someone I knew was enthusiastic about the Oscars, I'd appreciate them more. Kinda like sports. I never liked watching them before, and now, since my boyfriend watches them all the time, I've learned what the rules are in every game, and I actually have watched games by myelf <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
