For those that can not handle exercise that contains too much strain, like me, there is pulmonary rehab. It is by prescription only and is a 6 week program, but you are able to stay on maintenence after for a low price. Mine is at a local hospital and it is like a gym, but for people with pulmonary problems which makes it a little easier than being at a regular gym where people are way outdoing you. I go there on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays to walk the tredmill, lift weights, cardio glide and this other thing i can't remeber the name of. LOL!! You sit and step while pulling on these arm things like they have on an exercise bike. They also have a stair master and exercise bikes, but i am unable to do those because my lungs do not allow it. So i go there with other pulmonary patients that are all old with emphazema, but it makes it easier to have the suport while working out. It has done me a great deal of good. I actually went for 2 years then stopped going, but my doctor wrote me a new script last week and wants me to start back. So this is another great way to get in your exercise & fitness.~JeRi
