You call and ask I have medicaid oh 4 out of 5 say you dont need Part D, so you don;t take then next thing ya know yes you do so now it costs more. And explain to me why one part covers the nebulizer but not the medicine that goes in it or you can get the home IV supplies but not the medicine that goes in it.

I am on medicaid right now. They wont pay for the hypertonic saline nor the albuterol ,but they do pay for the pulmozyne . (thank goodness i could not afford it $1800 a month) i can handle the saline and the albuterol its not that expensive but the aquadek vitamins are $300 a bottle for a month. So my doctor is good about getting me sample scripts for the pharmacy at the hospital where i go to clinic . Maybe medicare will pay for them . I'll get that in another 18 months. But regular ins. is out of the question I couldn't afford it and plus they wanted a year some even 2 for it kick in. I cant say i blame them. To them it is a business and they dont want to take a loss. To us it is our lives. (whether we live it or not without the meds)

Fradulant Billing. Costs go up because crooks are billing for services we never recieve, meds we never get etc..., Insurance Companies should have the patient sign off on what the docs/hosp/pharmacies are billing them for.

Also, I agree with the other posts...we need docs and nurses at the top. Ones who understand what the patient really needs. Ins Co. spend money on drugs or procedures that won't do us any good because they are cheaper, only to have to turn around and end up paying what the doc ordered in the first place when the substandard treatment dosen't work..(double spending). Also...illness ends up costing more in long run for delays in treatment.
