Came in on the first day of school Tues.9/8/09. His PFTs were 30% & 32%....far from 60% which is his baseline. So he repeated them on Friday..they were 42%. much better then Tues. but not good enough to get the boot outta here.
So he will try again on Monday. 50% is the magic number to bust outta here! He has been good but bored
We got to go outside in the playroom on the terrace. We played dodge ball & made up our own games with the basketball & had some fun plus get some excercise.
We started off on our reg floor with our reg. nurses. But something happened in the middle of the night & he got moved to the 8th floor in the oncology/hemo ward. Never been on this ward before...dont know these nurses....so its taking some getting use to, but Rece is not having a problem
We are still here! His PFTs have not gone up since last Friday..they are still 42%. So they added bactrim & memopenen (sp) to the other 3...hopefully he will blow a 50% tomorrow (Thurs) so he can get outta here!!!!
He had a bout with some pain on his lower tummy/side then it moved to his middle back on his left side....his doctor said it could be reflux OR a mucus plug...but it only lasted almost 2 days...Im glad that it is gone! Other then that he is pretty much back to normal, just waiting on his PFTs to get back to baseline!
