Sorry, that was me, forgot to sign it
I guess I'm a little confused, I thought the post stated that Yeshua was the Messiah and I didn't think Jews thought the Messiah had arrived yet so that's why I asked who was Yeshua and where was he, meaning....did he die, die & rise again, or what?
It's late, does any of this make sense?

Glad it's not just me. I got lost in there too, but I've been up since 5:30 a.m. so things are a little fuzzy for me
Have a good night, everyone.

I've been up since 6am, but think I can decipher the "anonymous" post. (it's only going on 5:30pm for me!)

Basically, it was an indication that Yeshua (Jesus) was not born on Dec 25, but during the spring...and John the Baptist was 6 months older. The significance to their relationship was not clarified, but that everything evolved around Jewish Holidays.

My understanding of why the birth of Christ was in late December, was primarily due to the decision of a Pope, from long ago...therefore the crucificion of Christ, more than likely was also the decision of a Pope, but the reason for it in spring was to symbolize re-birth. Perhaps the decision to put the birth at the end of the year was to combine with the new years as a birth into the new year.

Just FYI, the Yeshua poster is probably a "Messianic Jew," which is someone who is Jewish and follows Jewish traditions BUT ALSO believes that Jesus is the Messiah and follows the New Testament. Basically trying to combine Christianity and Judaism (even though some of the beliefs don't really fit together so well...).

I was raised Jewish, moderately religious. In high school I became more religious and am now an Orthodox Jew (or fanatic, as I like to say -- but my coworkers have told me I'm the most respectful and down to earth fanatic they've ever met ). I have found my religion to be helpful and supportive for me through various difficulties in my life, including CF.

Hi Elliana! I was raised Orthodox, and now am more conservative/reformish. Nice to see you!

In my not so humble opinion, messianic jew =/= Jew at all . basically a Christian in Jewish clothing.

Hi everyone,

I wasn't raised anything till I was school age. And then when I was adopted by a Jehovah's Witness mother I became one when I was a little older. We basically go back to the original Hebrew and Greek Bible texts, and try to translate the original languages exactly as they were originally written. We are Christian, and believe that Jesus is our Savior through God, too.
I've found that being a Jehovah's Witness has helped me to really have a thorough knowledge of the Bible, and also has brought me alot of contentment and peace in life.
