RIP Sweet Melissa ...

At first, I didn't think I could reply to this...then I thought of last night...Last night we held a vigil for Mel and Jada in the chat room--the place where so many of us met and became friends. That is how I got to know Mel, Jada, and so many of you, it would take forever to write the names...

The WHOLE CHAT ROOM WAS FULL!!! There were so many, the name column was full and couldn't keep up! Mel would've been so happy--she never missed a chat night...Every time someone new would come in, I would start crying--but the room was full of life and jokes, just the way Mel would've wanted it...

I am lost w/o Mel, but thank God, I have all of you. I left for a little while, but you never forgot me and kept pming or calling--so I will try to never do that again. I missed out on talking to Mel for over a month...and I can't get that back...I talked to her a few times in the hospital, and then she was gone...

I am glad you are out of pain now--and I am picturing you dancing in Heaven--like you danced at your 40th...I hope you will be wearing those shoes that lit up when you danced...

Such sadness with all of us today on this site. We'll miss Melissa so much; she was the stone for so many here. Our prayers are with her husband and daughter. Jada, my sympathy goes out to you also. Such a good friend.
