Hi all! First of all, I want to thank Terri for calling me at the hospital. That was such a nice thing to do, we talked for quite some time. Even with a vent, I can chatter away!LOL! It has officially been over 2 months in the slammer for me....It was supposed to be for a total of 3 weeks....*sigh* of IV's. So many complications, failure to knock down the colonies of cepacia, feeling crappy, more IV's, fevers and then more fevers to make a very long story short. I have been transferred to the ICU at UConn for a more aggressive workup as to where these temps are coming from. Good news, there are no bacteria in the blood, my sputum isn't nearly as bad as it was when I was first hospitalized. The docs are awaiting more tests, trialing taking me off of antibiotics to see what happens. They are hoping it is a drug related fever, really easy to fix. If I spike temps after they do that, then we have another whole new ballgame. Keep your fingers crossed...I am crossing everything that could possibly be crossed. Hugs and prayers to all who need them...Jenn <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
