Hello all of my friends, boy have I missed all of you! I went in for a "routine "tune up 5 weeks ago and am STILL THERE Gahhh! I have not had any internet access until now, I can be very creative when I want to be LOL! Apparently my first round of IV's weren't a success...I was supposed to go home after my 4th week of IV's, the paperwork was ready but then the temps began. Every test including a full CT scan (I think my toes were excluded from radiation LOL) to look for abcesses or any other source was done. Finally, the sputum culture came back...high colonies of cepacia, just like before. I believe that cepacia is like a cockroach, no matter how low you get the colonies knocked down, the bug always proliferates no matter what is thrown at them. Because I was running high temps, the docs decided to put me back on IV's...not happy as that means another two weeks which will make it about two months in when I finally get out barring any complications. I am not going to jinx myself...I will believe that I am leaving when I am in the wheelchair and leaving the unit LOL! Keep your fingers crossed...I know I am.
Prayers going out to those who aren't well as well as for Amber to get out of the hospital to really test out those new lungs of hers!
Hugs to all, Jenn <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
