its my 11th day in house, because of my perpetual problem with patience im obviously not a good candidate for a patient. i never stay in for more than 5 days before flipping out and going home on the ivs. this time i have a colonoscopy sched the day i leave so i have to stay a full 2 weeks. to which i fought and now i get to get the picc out that day and go home without meds. because i care less about my health and more about my freedom. please dont lecture me, im beyond reason. they check my sugars at 530 in the am. why i dont know because i dont eat breakfast and even though i have cfrd my levels run normal. no need to wake me up. they have orders not to, but literacy is a problem in my hospital apparantly. also, im gay. waking up to a strange man standing over my bad waking me up is a little unnerving. so when he tried to the other morning to check my sugars after my 10th day of btching... i yelled at him. i got 2 hours of sleep. and i dont care who says what, it is not comfortable to get your sugar levels checked. so last night this wonderful man is my tech, because i go to a hospital where the nurses are underpaid and understaffed, but they have 2 techs and students working... doesnt make much sense to me but yet i did not go to medical school so they must know something i dont. so he comes in, its 1030, im tired but know if i fall asleep i'll be awaken 3 more times before 1, so i try to stay awake. he proceeds to tell me im mean for yelling at him in the morning and i could have been more polite. so i snapped. i am also on a floor where the three rooms next to me have psychotic old men screaming, so now i fit in! he was like, well its like a vacation, why are you upset?!?!? really?! i grabbed my shoe after telling him to get out of my room and not come back and he laughed, and i threw the mofo at his head. surprisingly, noone woke me up til 6am to give me my pain meds. i did have to discuss the situation with a few people this morning who were concerned about my state of mind. after i told them what happened, i believe mister shthead will be losing his job. this will be the second admission in a row i get someone fired. i have to patience for people who have no common sense. ive stood up for myself for the past 15 years of being admitted (once i hit adolescents i became "unruly") after talking to my friend in cali who has cf i thought id share my rant with you for this point... do not let anyone in the hospital talk to you in a way that makes you feel uneducated about your disease. do not just take the meds they give you if you have a question. do not let them push you around without standing up for yourself. and if you must resort to physical abuse, make a huge fuss while you do it, and make sure you report what happened before it, because you are a fragile person in an unstable situation and its understandable you may overreact and no charges of assualt will stick =0)

in my defense, i did not throw the shoe hard!!! just tossed lightly. and he was a big man, im sure hes not hurt. but it sure made me feel better!!!!!

and i think reading this will make you feel better about your sanity.. .knowing theres someone stuck in the hospital with you (well, not with you as we are on contact precation) but... you know... at the same time with you.. and is probably losing their mind more than you are!

I do believe that Cory has thrown a thing or two a tech's. They now know when he puts the sign on the door that say "Do not enter before 8:30am" that he means it. I would ask to speak to the charge nurse.
