Tumeric

So I've been looking at my cultures and for the most part I only suffer from MRSA (or at least that is all that has been showing up for the past year or so). I've had MRSA since I was like 14 and spent a good three-four years with it extremely healthy, but now that I'm older maybe it developed more or something.

Lately I've been hearing about this herbal plant healthstore item called Tumeric and I was wondering if anyone has tried it to treat MRSA (or in general). If so what has been your experience? I know it is a long shot but I'm open to new stuff as long as the side effects aren't too bad.

there was a study done about tumeric and i believe (could be incorrect) its ability to help fight inflammation in the body. i bought some and am planning to ask our doc about it on our next clinic visit. if you put-- dr. peter mogayzel tumeric-- in your search engine you will find some articles. (our doc at hopkins is dr. mogayzel) <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I'm already on azithramyson for inflamation (2 tablets mwf), I guess I'll have to reseach it more. Let me know what you find out.

Thanks.

Yes! I'm so glad other CFers are starting to get into herbs...

Has some great info on the other benefits of the herb. Whether it helps MRSA or not, it's a great herb to mix with your green teas.
