one thing i really like is plastering my walls in hospital with photos of my boys and good times, as well as a few paintings my boys and nieces have done at school etc. it just adds colour and is very comforting to look at!! cheers, Blacky.

IF you are on any prescriptions meds (I say this only because I know your past problems) I would take a few days worth with you. It takes awhile for the pharmacy to get their act together & with things like enzymes you cant wait.

Cell phone &/or calling card. Our hospital you cant call long distance without paying 3rd party somehow.

Shampoo, brush & normal personal hygnien stuff.

I always take my own comfty, not afraid to get messy, pajama type pants and tops. I hate how open and revealing the hospital ones are.

If you have CFRD, definitely bring your own poker (LOL). The hospital's hurts like the dickens.

If you don't have a laptop, and you're in the adult ward, you might check in peds and see if they have a portable computer to bring you. Due to many donations, are peds unit seems to have a lot more things to keep you busy! <img src="">

And definitely bring your own shampoo. My hospital provides a combo body wash/shampoo that leaves my hair looking greasy. Ugg!

are you allowed to use an air horn in the hospital. Might come in handy after the 3rd or 4th time of buzzing the nurse. Just a thought! For all of you who don't have a sense of humor yet this morning I must let you all know that I am kidding of course.
