type of portable compressor to use with TOBI

Make sure that the compressor is giving out the same PSI with the car hook up.

If not, TOBI particle size might be too variable for it to be effective ..... and you know what happens when you get underexposure to antibiotics..... resistance to the antibiotic develops!!!!

TOBI started decreasing my FEV1 every time I went on it over the last couple years. It took awhile for me to figure out the cause and effect. I used it for the final time 7 weeks ago. I just asked my doctor to write the rx for tobramycin IV vials. I also get IV gentamicin, IV aztreonam and IV Fortaz that way. I inhale them all depending on which ones keep my PA at bay any given month. Right now, I'm alternating 2 weeks Aztreonam and 2 weeks Fortaz which works best for me right now. Every CFer is different. TOBI doesn't cut it for me. Something happens and my FEV1 goes down, causing extreme shortness of breath as well. Have a conversation with your doctor. There are alternatives to TOBI.
