It´s been tested in patients with G551D mutation, but if works they will tested it on patients with other mutations. It´s on phase 2 trials yet, but it seems that is working.

Great news...But I have a question. A LONG time ago, it was found that the substance in soy, Genistein, "fixed" the G551D mutation. Aside from their initial findings, I have never heard anything about it further. I'm happy whenever there is news regarding new treatments of course, but there have been substances that have shown proper gene expression regarding CF, Turmeric being one of them (and that is being studied now). So I wonder why not Genistein?
