waiting, waiting, waiting......

Reece & I have been in clinic since 11am!!!!! Still NO ROOM for him! We are the only ones up here besides 2 nurses.

We have watched Fox & the Hound, Sponge Bob 3x & a Hot Wheels movie. He is soooooo bored though. He keeps saying "man we should have our room by now!" or "Im tired of waiting here!" or "when is that lady gonna bring the wheelchair for me so I can go upstairs?"

Other then that he has been pretty good! His O2 was 95, good for him. PFTs were BAD again....36% poor thing couldnt get through a full blow w/out coughing. His activity is normal....believe me after 8hrs in a small room w/ him <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

His BMI did go down from 80% to 59% & his iron is low. They will be testing his blood sugars this visit just to make sure they are in normal range when he has an infection. If they are up we will go from there...insulin may be an option....just while he is sick.

So I will be posting daily if to keep you all updated<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Keep us in your prayers for a fast recovery & too get us a ROOM!

Ugg waiting in clinic till there is a room, couldn't they let you go home at least till a room opened up?

I guess that wasn't an option, I am hoping that drop in BMI is related to sugars as well.. I am sad little mans PFTS are down ... I hope things get worked out quickly

Well we finally got a room last night around 7:30. Only for them to move us after only being in the room for an hour. There are 6 other CFers in here & he was in a pod with one, which we all know is a BIG no-no!

His xray shows a little more mucus then last time, but all labs check out fine. He is a lil crackly but moving air. This is his 4th hosptial visit since his surgery.

Hubby wants to take him out of school. Thinks he is getting all the bugs from there. The doc said we need to talk about what is best for Reece all in all. About having a social life & keeping him well. She said she would go with whatever we decided.

Nothing has been said about blood sugars. They have not been checking them. *shrugs*
