There has been some animosity lately between the two groups. I dont get involved as I am here to learn but its hard not to notice. I think it is all coming to a head. Overall, if i had to sum it up, id say the cf adults think cf mom's wear rose colored glasses when it comes to their kids. I dunno, Im a cf mom but my glasses are crystal clear.

i went back and looked and many of the threads are gone including one my wife wrote . i have been on here for more than a few days i have lurked for quite a while and as far as judgment im not doing that just stating my opinon on what i have observed . Im not trying to throw a wrench in anyones face so please dont think i am.

as far as being able to accept differing opinions i can do that just fine , i just fear my experiences will be looked at as if im stupid . Like i said the moms can learn a lot from us "old timers " . Docs arent always the best sorce for experience

That's exactly why I come on here - to learn from the "old timers" and also from Moms who have dealt with CF longer than I have. I used to go to another site where it was just Moms of CFers, but I found I wasn't getting the full picture there and there was a heck of a lot of "rose colored glasses" being used there.

necron it is very frequent occurence where threads just 'disappear' such as you mentioned this is how the moderators feel is appropriate to 'moderate' comments they dont agre with like or have someoene else PM them not liking. Unfortunately this limits the differing opinions discussions that are so fruitful and necessary for this board to be at its peak effectiveness as mentioned by previous poster.

It is also very common to have a disagreement between the two sects you have mentioned many CF'ers feel many mothers are looking for a sugar coated answer and many mothers feel noone understands what its like to take care of a cf'er adn have that responsibility and feel that the adults are too 'down'. I believe its the nature of the difference in experiences. I dont think coming 'donw' on the moms is in any way an answer as it goes both ways and even though I am a cf'er I have more often than not seen it going towards the moms not from them.
