Any of you out there do it? How do you feel afterwards? What benefits have you noticed? Anything negative?

Hi Steve,
I go to Yoga twice a week. I started about 2 years ago. I love it and I absolutely recommend it. I got sick a month ago with a sinus infection that went to my lungs and stopped going to Yoga. I definitely notice when I don't go to Yoga regularly, I get sick more and I don't feel as well as I do when I go regularly. Also, when I go to Yoga, my PFT's are much better! If you can truly get into Yoga and the meaning behind it, not just for stretching and breathing, it helps with dealing with CF and life in general. I hope you find a really good Yoga teacher and give it a shot. I think you will enjoy it and be happy with the results it has for your health. It can't hurt, that's for sure. Good Luck! Take care!

hi.
well,i just started doing yoga 3 weeks ago and i def feel the benefits.
im sleeping better(bets sleep i have had in a long time),feeling more energetic and as stressed.
iv also noticed my body staring to tone(though it has only been 3 wks)and well,i find it better than going to normal gym classes. i prefer it. i also go walking 3/4 time a wk every morning and i do yoga 4/5 times a week (30 minutes).
my peak flow at home has increased to 250(normally my best is 200) so i think it really is helping.
my clinic appt is next week so im hoping that with the yoga and the walking my lung function should have gone up (heres hoping)
anyway, good luck with your yoga and enjoy it!its def worth it since im noticing a change aleady in my health as well as body(yoga beginner)

I'll be honest with you, Yoga kinda freaked me out and I didn't want to do it. I started on the P90X workout system last year and they have a disc of yoga. I skipped it for months, until my coach told me I should try it. Long story short, I do the Yoga workout about two and even three times a week.
I agree, it's one of the best thing a person with CF can do. I'm 41 now and living with CF doesn't have to rule your life. I just became a coach for the P90X system. If you want to check out my website and start up, I'd be happy to help you in anyway.

I agree with the masses here... Yoga is great, nothing like it that I have found. I feel the difference when I do it (mind, body and emotions) and if can definitely tell when I have not done it in a while... I will have less energy, more moody, and cough more.

I get my Intense Chest Physiotherapytm (this is what we call it) or ICPTtm twice a day every day and it make a huge, huge difference in how I breathe AND when I just get done with my ICPT regiment and jump up and go do yoga... I don't cough during yoga but on the way home I begin to cough up the deep down stuff the yoga mobilizes. Not to mention that I feel totally chilled out for the evening and sleep so well. I imagine that it's the twisting, lymphatic drainage (detox) and head stands (reversal of blood flow) that make the difference.

YES Yoga works for me, period end of story.

- My yoga reg is... Yoga means union of our body. This is one type of exercise. Yoga encourages the union of mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is a physical discipline; it uses the body and breathing to develop self-awareness and mental clarity.

Generic Viagra

Buy Kamagra Oral Jelly Online
