How good is 104% in the blowing test?

Congratulations! It took me some 2 years to go back from the 60s to the 80s after I attended university in Spain (when everybody was smoking around me). What is P90X?

    IV treatment

Ok, let me see how I can help. Madrid nowadays: "old-fashioned" IV system, hung up on a hook in the wall or similar. For a typical Cefta treatment, (or Tobra, or whichever) you use 100-200 ml and it takes one hour to go through. Heparine is used to flush your injection system and avoid the...

    High Calorie Snacks

Probably one of the highest-calorie is peanut butter- nutella sandwich. I also love making home-made popcorn with all sorts of different spices. Or warm sandwiches with loads of assorted cheeses. Have fun!

How do you travel with tobi & pulmozyme?

I travel a lot! Yes, ice packs for the pulmozyme (packed between pullovers/t-shirts to keep the temperature) and Tobi is as they say safe for 28 days outside the fridge. Enjoy the trips! (ps. the eFlow is the very lightest device ever, perfect for traveling!)

    Best birth control?

I've done a lot of research on the topic and asked several health professionals and read a book geared to people with CF. Condoms is obviously the best in order not to catch any additional infections, herpes, etc (better not to add any more bugs to your existing collection!) Regular pills cannot...

Feel Like He's Killing Himself- Please Please Help

I've had had my periods of "rebelliousness" where I haven't wanted to do my nebs and particularly my lung therapy (I've always hated it and I guess I always will). But how can your boyfriend not take his enzymes? If you take less than you need, the diarrhea and stomachache are quite unbearable...

    Sinus surgery?

Maybe it's just me but surgery sounds rather unpleasant (opening up and scraping off? yuck!) I've been using a neti pot for saline rinses since over 15 years ago and it works wonders! Why don't you try that and see if it helps, before surgery??

    Advice about Fast Nebulizers

I've used many systems over the years, and they generally are noisy, rather bulky and heavy (I've always traveled a lot) and slow. Since 2007 I am using the Pari eFlow (with saline, with pulmozyme, with Tobi and with Colistin) and I wouldn't change it for anything! Every treatment lasts about 5...

    Nebbing questions

When learning about Autogenic Drainage (French technique, dreadfully hard to learn once an adult, but extremely effective if you get a really qualified trainer), they explained it was important to hold your breath for 3 seconds to help the air (and medication) get to the more blocked areas. They...

    complicated situation..

Hi Clarice! You posted this twice? In case you don't read my other reply, here it is again: Of course you're scared, no wonder. Coughing up blood is also quite new to me, I think it happened the first time in 2009 after years of doing fine. (butI had moved back to humid climate, as when I...
