For the leaking, I place a sponge/gauze around it. It catches all of the "ick", but make sure you change the gauze regularly. Even if it's not leaking at the time, I would change it at least every 12 hours. My surgeon also suggested using corn starch around the site to help keep it dry. Kind...

I actually just had a double lumen placed! I only access one at a time and use it as a single lumen, but I guess you could access and draw labs from the other. I still have good peripheral veins (go figure) so blood draws are typically not a problem. My transplant center was actually excited...
