    pre-trans quality of life

Yes, I am on O2 full time - 5 liters at rest and 6-8 when exercising. It's pretty annoying b/c the concentrators for the portable oxygen only go up to 5 liters, so I can't really exercise outside of pulmonary rehab and take a lot of rests when walking around/grocery shopping/doing things on...

    Voriconazole/V fend

Hi! I am on vfend as well, and I did have the same reaction when I took the 400 mg dose, and maybe 1-2 times after taking the 200 mg dose. I agree - if it goes on much longer, I wouldn't be able to take it either!! Good luck, I hope it subsides very quickly!

Oh, and I'm only hospitalized 1 time a year, generally =) so there is proof you don't need raging infections to be listed.

Hi JT, One thing I have noticed is that my CF doctor does NOT know all there is to know about transplants. You really need to meet the transplant team at the hospital you wish the transplant to take place. Only they are the ones that can evaluate your physical readiness for transplant. One...

    PFT'S Dropping.

Hi, Two things in my experience: First: I would ask your doctor about testing for MAC (Mycobacterium ascessus). When I had my freefall, this was my issue. Second: EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE! =) I am 27% FEV1 and I do the bike/treadmill 3x's a week! It saved my life while I wait for...

I commend you for being concerned about your health and thinking proactively, doing your treatments and exercising!!! Awesome job! I know a lot of patients your age aren't as mindful about these things =) So if I understand it correctly, you have been doing 3 treatments and day and exercising...

    pre-trans quality of life

Hi Jason, I have not been transplanted yet, but I've been listed since January 2011. I basically decided it was time because of a few things: I had to stop working in order to stop myself from spiraling down into illness that I couldn't come out of. I stopped eating because I didn't have time...
