    VX-770 Update

I heard there is some data that suggests that VX-770 might also be effective for R117H mutation. in fact in several studies PWCF that have R117H as their second mutation were specifically excluded. I can't seem to find anything concrete on this. Has anyone one else seen anything similar?

    Signs of an infection...

not so sure my CFer is so in touch with her body quite yet....but WE notice that her appetite changes BEFORE we notice any other symptoms. not as hungry or thirsty. especially around breakfast where she is generally starving (this is her best meal).

Newborn testing shows R117H (from father) and S1235R AND R785X (from mother)

ditto for my Jess. she is 14 and is Pancreatic Sufficient and has had only mild symptoms so far. but make no mistakes, if your grandson has 2 mutations, then he does have CF and you need to be mindful of what that means now and in the (hopfully very distant) future. please talk with the docs...
