    Fev1 30's

A lung transplant is a huge deal with pros but LOTS of cons. If she wants it, she's going to have to muster up the gusto to really prove it to them that she wants it. And you are going to have to prove to them that you are in control of your minors healthcare. What needs to be done, shall be...

    port questions

Yes I think you had delayed healing because of access but then again perhap that helps one not get an infection at the site. I think most poeple including myself got it put in in conjunction with using it. I'm a "sweller" and I had swelling/brusing after insertion and to have it accessed at that...

    possible embolization UPDATE!

Jane, My experience was much like Josh's. I had severe pain. I did not however get any pain killer but on reflection not sure why I didn't. It lasted for a few days the only when I either exhaled deeply or inhaled deeply can't remember. It sort of blurry in my mind intermixed with memories of...

do you ever get better on your own?

If your home sick plan is not working than it's time to be get IV antibiotics. Perhaps you can do a few days at the hospital and then finish at home? In order to do this though you'll need to be 100% compliant. Are you already very compliant? Missing IV doses is not a thing to do nor is screwing...

    Heading back to 60+ FEV1 from 26.

but bottomline if transplant is what you plan to do should you "get to that point" than you might want to start the research process. I have to say I never knew FEF25-75 could be single digits. Scary dude! Please take care of yourself. Lots of Vit C & hand washing! - no colds.

I have to agree with Lex. And it's not about giving up, it's about being prepared. Heck, I've even talked with my doc about transplant because I want to him to know when it gets to that point I opt "in" for a transplant. I've been a member of this site since 2006 and have watched a few people...
