    Getting Bronchoscopy Results

About a month ago I had a bronchoscopy done because my pulmo suspects I have mycobacterium. He is suspicious because I had a bad exacerbation at the end of February and ever since then I have had a recurring low grade fever. (You can see more details about all of this in my blog posts via the...

    Mycobacterium

I had a bad exacerbation at the end of February and ever since then, despite all kinds of oral abx, I have had a low grade fever for a few hours every afternoon.  At the moment I feel fine except for that.  My pulmo did a bronchoscopy 3 weeks ago because he suspects mycobaterium, and I haven't...

Nebulizer Tubing Stuck on Nebulizer/Neb Cup

I had the same thing happen to me with the Pari Trek. I took a hair dryer and let the hot air blow on it for a while, and eventually I got it off. The second time it happened to me I just let the compressor run for a while and eventually the tubing heated up enough, and then it came right off...

    Diagnosis in sight?

Hi Jen, I have bronchiectasis & chronic sinusitis but no CF or PCD. PCD ruled out via biopsy of bronchial cilia during a bronchostomy, and autoimmunce issues ruled out via blood tests. My treatment plan looks a lot like a CFer's though with regard to the pulmo treatments. Seretide - 2 puffs...

    fevers - who gets 'em

In the last year or two I have started suffering from low grade fevers similar to what others here have described. I too typically have a lower body temperature. When it goes even slightly over "normal" I feel really sick. My doctor is treating me under the assumption I have PA, although...

    Nebs in the car

For a while I did nebs while driving my one hour commute to and from work. It was a great time saver, but I stopped because I really think it's quite dangerous to do it while driving: 1) It means I only have one hand on the wheel. 2) I had to open the window to prevent the cloud of meds around...

    Altitude test to fly?

My blood oxygen levels are normal (usually around 98%) and I fly internationally quite often. Out of curiousity once I took a pulse oximeter with me. On the ground I was at my usual 98%. During the flight it went down to 92-93%, although I felt fine. So, if your boys have lung damage it...
