I am a little overwhelmed when reading about Gtubes because it seems like there are several ways to place the tube (some involving an incision, others endoscopicly, etc) and several types of tubes/buttons...

    I had my baby girl!

Congratulations on your beautiful girl! I understand the mixed feelings. I will never forget the day I got the call that my baby didn't have CF. I started crying and my daughter who was 2.5 wcf at that time asked me why I was crying. I told her "don't worry, I am crying bc I am happy" then...

    Hypertonic Saline tolerance test?

Thanks everyone, it makes much more sense now. I should have asked more about it at her appointment but I was more focused on other things at the moment, such as my daughter freaking out about the throat culture! :)

    Hypertonic Saline tolerance test?

I brought up HTS at my daughter's most recent clinic appointment and her pulm said she would need to do a pft test to make sure she can tolerate it. I have never heard anything about this before so I am curious if others have done this too?

Non Sedated CT Scan for 4yo

I would definately try the non-sedated ct. My daughter did it at 4.5 years old and on our way there, I told her what it would be like (lying still on a flat table that goes through something that looks like a big donut) and the thing that helped her feel good about it the most was me doing a...

Granting Wishes for Kids with CF!!!

What a nice idea! I remember reading about Marichi in the cookbook "Cooking for a Future". My daughter had been just recently diagnosed when that book was put together.
