My 5 yr old son was dx'd with type 1 diabetes when he was 26 months old. At 6 months old he had some issues with "reactive airway disease" (like asthma type symptoms) when he got colds, etc. and on and off needed albuterol - but it wasn't terrible. He seems to have grown out of that happening...
