22 weeks Pregnant and amnio confirmed CF

Congrats on your soon to be born baby!  I'm sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but so glad you found this site. My daughter was diagnosed at 6 days old and sometimes I wish we had known before she was born. After she was diagnosed and put on enzymes and zantac, Maggie was just a happier baby and...

    Bath Toys & Bath Tub

We use the standard cups and also bath crayons. But I recently saw some of those water squirting toys at Toys R Us but these OPEN UP so you can wash them in the dishwasher! Thinking about getting them as a stocking stuffer.   I don't know if these were the exact ones I saw... but I just did a...

Elevated IRT levels, trying to keep it together

When I was pregnant with baby #2 - our first has CF - I went through all of the possibilities with our CF doc, including that an abnormal newborn screen / high IRT levels doesn't mean she would have CF since 90% of the time it is false and that we shouldn't worry 'cause it could just mean she...

    My soon-to-be step-child has CF

You sound like you will be a great step parent. CF is tough. Treatments are at least twice a day and we let our daughter choose what she wants to do during that time. it's usually watch a DVD, but she also likes to play playdoh or little people - she's 2 1/2. <br>The biggest concern is keeping...

recent weight loss with 1 yr old

Hi. I'm kinda new to this to, but it could be that she's more active and/or she just needs an increase in her enzymes. I'd talk to the dr/nutritionist about the possible blood. Once, I thought Maggie might have blood in her poop, but it turns out it was flecks of fat (orange in color). What I've...
