How do you plan to spend your 4th Holiday...

We're going to the outlaws lake cabin. Several of DH's cousins have homes on the same lake. Weather is supposed to be nice. AND because the 4th falls on a Tuesday -- our bosses gave us Monday the 3rd off from work with pay.

Have some friends over and have their families over. Swim in the pool, cook a ton of meat, watch tv, drink a bunch, etc etc etc.

I am going to Galveston with my sister, brother in law and 2 nephews. They rented a condo on the beach so it should be lots of fun!

We are going to my mom and dad's for an early dinner and some play time. Mark's mom and step- dad will be joining us there, his step-mom and dad possibly, and his brother and wife and their 3 kids will be there too.

Then we are going around the corner to Mark's mom and step-dad's house (yes my parents and his parents live around the corner from eachother ) to light off fireworks all night (usually lasts until about midnight).

I'm really excited because we've missed the last two 4th's (due to living in CA and our family being in WA) so this will be really fun for ous.

Since our kids are grown and do their own thing on July 4th, I usually work--time and a half ya know. Been seeing fireworks for over half a century, though I love 'em, would rather make money. Trying to buy a computer...but will still cook out--maybe steaks and corn-on-the-cob.

Fireworks have always been special for our family. Other than that, we're hoping for a peaceful day off.
